Here are the first few Acorns I have potted, I have 4 in total.
These Acorns are on my window ledge, all have a very short root.
As Acorns naturally lay on their side, this is how they should be planted.
If they are already growing a root, put the root into the soil covering the Acorn about half way into the soil.
Make sure that in the early stages that the soil is kept damp.
In time the root will go down into the soil, then a small shoot will grow upwards.
The shoot that grows up wards will then produce the first tiny Oak tree leaves.
Here is a pic of one of last years Oak trees that I grew from an Acorn.
Here is the biggest of my Oak Tree plants from Acorns collected in 2013, around September time.
These pictures should show a step by step view of what to expect.
These Acorns with some luck, be looking like little Oak trees in the very near future.

My Acorns are doing very well this year, OMG I have loads sprouting now.
Pictures to be posted on here soon.
In a week or so I will put up the udated pictures of the Acorns above.
In all honesty there will only be a slight difference, but that is what happens when I post bit by bit Pictures of them.
Keep an eye on this page for the update, there will also be more Acorn pictures.

It is now over a month, and as if by Magic my nearly new camera has packed up.
I have been trying to sort it, but it simply will not charge the battery.
Plan b then, I will take some pictures with my phone.
In all honesty my Acorns have not really done a lot, but I promised pictures.

As you can se one of the Acorns has just shown its shoot, that will be the start of a small trunk.

Well I now have some little Oak Tree pictures for you.
I will upload the pictures tonight.
These Little Oak Trees have been kept in doors, as soon as spring arrives they will go out side.
